ndrea Lee is an emerging star in the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her debut victory at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee has had success at every level including at Standford University earning 9 wins during her collegiate career and spending 17 weeks as the #1 Women's Amateur across the World. Following her win of the Mark H. McCormack Award as the top-ranked Women's Amateur worldwide after the end of the 2019 season Lee turned professional. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. James taught her to play golf since she was five years old. Her first tournament began when she was 8 and has won 50 junior championships in four years. She was able to make the cut at the 2013 US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. She was 15 years old and her father acted as her caddie. She was invited by sponsors to participate at the year 2015 ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour, but she missed the cut. Lee was a member of the USA in the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup and Women's World Amateur Team Championship. Following her admission to Stanford University in 2016 she was the highest-ranked player in its history at that time when over the ensuing three years, she won nine individual titles. McCormack medal for 2019, having finished with the top ranking amateur. In her amateur career, Lee achieved four holes in one, and one albatross. When she made her debut as a player on the LPGA Tour, Lee had two top 10 results. She was seventh at the AIG Women's Open 2020, which was held in the Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee won her first LPGA Tour win in the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated her win to her late father Min saying He always called me a champion, and he believed in me from the beginning. The win was in memory of her grandfather, who passed away in the past, who she said always called me an athlete and believed in me. Her previous competitions included soccer taekwondo and figure skating. Lee loves movies, bowling singing as well as skiing.
